Privacy

This site tells you which districts you vote in and who the committee has endorsed. It does not ask who you are.

What we don’t collect

There are no accounts and no sign-in anywhere on this site. Tapping the map, opening a municipality and reading about a candidate all happen inside your browser. Nothing about what you looked at is sent to us. We never ask for your address, we do not use your browser’s location, and we do not store anything on your device to recognize you later.

We use no tracking cookies, no analytics and no advertising pixels. The maps, fonts and images are served from this site, not from anyone else’s.

Server logs

This site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard logs — the IP address a request came from, the page requested, the time and the browser. These exist so the site can be kept online and defended from abuse. We do not use them to identify individual visitors and we do not combine them with anything else. Vercel retains them under its own policy.

If you email us

Our address is on this site because we want corrections and questions. If you write to us, we have your email address and whatever you chose to tell us, held in Gmail, and we keep it while we’re dealing with it. We don’t sell it, we don’t rent it, and we don’t add you to any list without asking you first. If you’d like us to delete an exchange, write to us with “Privacy” in the subject line and we will.

Donations

You cannot give money on this site. The donate buttons take you to Anedot, which processes contributions to the committee, or to Anedot or WinRed for individual campaigns. Those companies — not this site — collect your name, address, email, employer, occupation and payment details, and they handle that information under their own privacy policies.

You should also know that political contributions are not private. New York Election Law requires the committee to report contributions to the New York State Board of Elections, and those filings — including contributor names and addresses — are public records that anyone can search. If that matters to you, consider it before you give.

We link to the New York State Board of Elections, the Schenectady County Board of Elections, candidate websites, campaign donation pages and our Facebook page. Those are separate organizations with their own privacy policies. Following a link to Facebook tells Facebook that you came from here.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We have nothing to honor: there is nothing here that tracks you.

Changes

If this site ever adds a form — a volunteer signup, an email list, an event RSVP — we will update this policy before that form goes live and change the date at the top. The date at the top always reflects the version you are reading.
