This is information, not a ballot

This site is for information. It is not a ballot, and it is not an official record of one. Your ballot will include more offices than are listed here.

The Board of Elections is the authority

District information on this site comes from the Schenectady County Board of Elections’ certified materials. Where anything here differs from what the Board of Elections issues, the Board of Elections is correct. Verify anything you intend to rely on with the Board of Elections before you rely on it.

Things change

Districts get redrawn, candidates withdraw, endorsements are revised and certified lists are amended. This site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. The Schenectady County Republican Committee is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of this site. To the fullest extent the law allows, the committee and its officers and volunteers are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from anything on it being out of date or wrong.

Who this site speaks for

This site is a communication of the Schenectady County Republican Committee and is paid for by the committee. It is not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee. Where we link to a campaign’s website or donation page, we are pointing you to that campaign — we are not soliciting on its behalf, and the campaign has no control over what appears here.

What’s ours, and what you may do with it

The text, design, maps and endorsement listings on this site belong to the committee. The underlying district boundaries are derived from public Board of Elections and Census sources. You are welcome to read, print, screenshot and share this material for your own use and to help other voters. You may not scrape or bulk-copy the site, republish it as an official or authoritative list of districts or candidates, use it to solicit business, or resell it.

You may not alter this material, or use it, to misstate the date, time, place or manner of voting, or a person’s eligibility to vote.

Other people’s names and marks

Candidate names, photographs, party emblems and campaign logos belong to the candidates and organizations they identify and are used here to identify them. If you believe material of yours appears here in a way it shouldn’t, write to us and we will take it down while we look into it.

Links off this site

Links to boards of elections, campaigns, donation processors and Facebook go to organizations we don’t control. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end, and we are not responsible for what those sites do.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us — that is the fastest way to get it fixed, and we would rather hear it from you than not. Write to ChairwomanJoy@gmail.com with “Correction” in the subject line. We aim to acknowledge within three business days, and to correct certified-data errors as soon as the Board of Elections confirms the right information.

Accessibility

We want every voter to be able to use this site, and we work toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA. An interactive map is hard to make work for everyone. If you cannot get what you need from it, email us and we will send you your district and candidate information in whatever format works for you.

New York law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Schenectady County, New York. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we don’t enforce something once, we haven’t given it up.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the version you are reading.
